CTET 2024 Application Fee

Candidates can apply for CTET 2024 by logging in to the official website of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test after the Central Teacher Eligibility Test notification 2024 for the same will be released. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/– (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both papers).

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has released a notification stating the revised CTET eligibility criteria for candidates who are pursuing a Teacher Training Course(TTC). According to the NCTE notification, the candidates who are pursuing Teacher Training courses will be eligible to apply for the CTET Exam.

Candidates should pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks to be qualified as a primary-stage teacher
Candidates should clear graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or 10+2 with at least 50 percent aggregate marks from a recognized university to be qualified for the appointment of a secondary teacher
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in the CTET exam. However, some states may have specific age requirements for government teaching jobs.

Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.
Candidates appearing in the final year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education, etc., are provisionally admitted. Their certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations, before the declaration of Exam result

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern

As per the CTET Exam Pattern 2024, there will be two papers i.e. CTET Paper 1 & CTET Paper 2.

Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who intends to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Note: Mathematics & Science- 30 MCQs each -60 Marks Or Social Studies/Social Science -60 MCQs -60 Marks (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher). There is no penalty for any wrong answers.
